Out the Gate - Poster

Forget the last thriller you saw.

Forget the last suspense movie you sat anxiously to watch.

Forget the last drama you were dying to see and overwhelmed you actually saw it.

If the movie trailer is anything to go by, “Out the Gate” will have you on the edge of your seat from start to finish.

After proving his acting prowess in “Dancehall Queen” and “Shottas”, the Jamaican-born hunk with the distinctive voice, Paul Campbell is solid as a rock; while Oliver Samuels epitomizes the word “actor” as he morphs into a more dramatic role opposed to his usual comical work.

“Out the Gate” will score huge, not only in the Jamaican Diaspora, but among European and North American movie-goers for its grit and intensity. This is by far one of the better action-packed movies for 2011, not from a Caribbean perspective, but in general, “Out the Gate” rivals any Hollywood Production with ease. Additionally, from a Jamaican/Caribbean perspective, “Out the Gate” may easily enter the league of “The Harder they come“, becoming a cultural classic. With the proper team in place, “Far I Films” has struck gold.

Out the Gate” taps into real life ideas, dreams, concerns, challenges and victories by many immigrants in the United States. Without boring you, the production team successfully explored the music industry, migration and the issue of “donmanship” among other critical topics that will have you thinking and talking about it for a long time.

It will be a “Friday the 13th” to remember at the AMC Bay Plaza Cinema 13, the Whitestone Multiplex Cinemas, Linden Blvd Multiplex Cinemas, and the Jamaica Multiplex Cinemas located in the heavily Caribbean populated boroughs of Bronx, Brooklyn and Queens, as those are the theaters selected for initial engagement.

Out the Gate” is the directorial debut for the team ‘The Village Brothers’, R. Steven Johnson and Qmillion. As stated, it stars, Paul Campbell (Dancehall Queen, Shottas), Oliver Samuels (Oliver at large), along with Shelli Boone (Holla, Southland), Everton (E-Dee) Dennis, Dancehall Reggae artists Mr. Lexx, Lady G, Ms Triniti, and Edley Shine. Rounding out the cast is American Actress Brenda Vivian who has had recurring roles on “Young and the Restless” as well as “Days of our Lives”.
